-- Iran returns to OPEC main producers: Report

Production and investment were among the challenges of the Ministry of Oil of the current government, which in less than two years, with reliance on domestic potentials, the country managed to overcome the challenges and rejoin the OPEC oil producing giants.
In September 2021, the Ministry of Oil had a production of about two million barrels per day, which had led to the decline of Iran’s position among the world’s oil giants.

--  Iran-Indonesia trade hits $1b: Vice president

The annual trade between Iran and Indonesia currently stands at about $1 billion, announced Rouhollah Dehqani-Firouzabadi, the vice president for science and technology.
Speaking at a ceremony held by the Indonesian Embassy in Tehran to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the country’s Independence Day, the official said both countries are seeking to deepen cooperation in political, economic, commercial, energy, scientific, technological, cultural, military and security areas.

--  Iran’s ‘Captain’ to premiere at German festival

TASNIM – Iranian feature film, ‘Captain’, directed by Mohammad Hamzei and produced by Seyyed Saber Emami, will have its first international screening at the 28th edition of the Schlingel Film Festival for Children and Youth, slated to be held in Germany’s Chemnitz, from September 23 to 30.
The film ‘Captain’ will be screened twice during the festival, on September 24 and 28.

-- Iran Summons Swiss Envoy Over Baseless GCC-U.S. Claims

Iran’s Foreign Ministry has summoned the chargé d’affaires of Switzerland, which represents Washington’s interests in Tehran, to protest “baseless” allegations leveled by the United States and the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council.

According to a statement by Iran’s Foreign Ministry, the Swiss chargé d’affaires was summoned to express Iran’s “strong protest and condemnation” of a joint statement issued following the ministerial meeting of the United States and the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council in New York on Tuesday and the U.S. acts of provocation.

The ministry reiterated Iran’s determination to “defend its territorial integrity, and protect its security and interests against any threats posed by the U.S. government in connection with maritime security and commercial shipping.” “Iran will take the necessary strategies in this regard and to secure its national interests,” it said.

-- CBI: Oil Sector’s Economic Growth Rises 368%

The Iranian oil sector’s economic growth rate increased by 368 percent year on year (Y/Y) in the first three months of 2023. The statistics showed the oil sector’s economic growth rose to 16.4 percent in the first quarter of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21, 2023) from 3.5 percent compared to the same period last year (from March 21 to June 22, 2022).
The data released by the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) also indicated that the increase in oil production and exports accounts for more than 24 percent of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth in this year’s spring.

-- Oman, Iran Emphasize to Enhance Industry, Mining Cooperation

Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mining, and Trade Abbas Aliabadi and Oman’s Minister of Energy and Minerals have emphasized to strengthen cooperation in the field of industry and mining.
In the meeting, which was held with the presence of the head of the Oman Investment Organization, the two sides emphasized strengthening cooperation in the industrial and mining sectors.
The volume of trade between Iran and Oman in 2022 increased by 41% and reached $1.887 billion compared to 2021.

-- Books on Supreme leader, Hajj Qassem welcomed at 24th Baghdad International Book Fair

The books about the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and senior Iranian anti-terror commander Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani presented in Iran pavilion at the 24th Baghdad International Book Fair have been welcomed by the audience.

Ayatollah Khamenei’s autobiography and memoirs “Cell No. 14” is one of the popular books offered at Iran pavilion at the fair, Mehr reported on Saturday.

-- Iran becomes a member of AECSD

 The Central Securities Depository of Iran (CSDI) has been accepted as a member at the Association of Eurasian Central Securities Depositories (AECSD). The SCDI’s membership in AECSD was accepted during the 19th general assembly of the entity in Tajikistan.

Speaking at the assembly, CSDI Head Mohammad Baghestani said Iran’s membership in the AECSD is a step towards strengthening cooperation with the Eurasian region, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and experiences in various fields of the depository industry, and contributing to the association's efforts to serve the common interests of the members of the international body.
